Our team enables customers to leverage some of the greatest advantages AWS offers via the AWS building and operating of massively distributed file systems and storage solutions including AWS Snow Family's Snowball Edge.
This work requires us to develop processes, procedures, and facilities that allow customers to easily use our products and enable us to meet customer expectations on security and speed.
We're looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team based in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Our systems engineers work in a fast-paced environment with our multi-disciplined service teams to deliver cutting-edge services to our customers.
Job responsibilities will include identifying and resolving issues, automating repetitive processes, and working closely with development teams.
You will dive deep into code and logs, drive prioritization of operational issues, and become intimate with the architecture of our systems.
Other responsibilities may include:
Troubleshooting Linux system, network, and/or configuration related issues.
Managing and monitoring systems health and status.
Identifying, documenting, and communicating engineering and operations recommendations to team members.
Designing and implementing scalable solutions that improve the Customer and Operator Experience, Writing and disseminating after action reports capturing key events, actions taken, and future mitigation plans.
Providing on-call support when necessary.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
