Sr. Web Software Developer (FSP cleared)

The mission is to provide net-centric information sharing and collaboration capabilities that enable the extended national intelligence enterprise to collaborate in a common shared space. These capabilities focus on delivering web-based services of common concern. These services include content search and discovery, media/file sharing, Intellipedia, a web-based email, instant messaging, self-servicing hosting, and access/authentication services for the shared space environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Coding and implementation of complex and comprehensive search, discovery, and subscription solutions for the United States Intelligence Community.
- Responsible for the integration of commercial and government search technologies into viable and scalable search solutions.
- Respond to user questions and comments via phone, email and bulletin boards.
- Write documentation to assist users in understanding how to use the search tools.
- Provide accreditation support with respect to system documentation and testing.
- Balance operational, policy and information assurance requirements into effective and logical solutions.
- Evaluate new technologies and standards. Stay current with technology trends and brief leadership on new technologies and approaches that could offer value to the Intelink environment. Design, plan, and conduct trials and pilots.
Primary Skills Required:
- BS in computer related sciences or equivalent experience / 8 years of more of relevent experience
- Experience designing and developing web applications with AJAX features using Java, Tomcat, HTML, CSS, Javascript, JSON, XML, REST-style web services, and relational databases (RDBMS).
- Understanding of web application / service security, cross-site scripting issues, and PKI authentication is also required.
- Experience with the Ozone Widget Framework (OWF), JQuery or ExtJS Javascript frameworks, Node.js, Python, Apache Hadoop, HDFS, the Nutch crawler, Lucene / Solr, NoSQL storage solutions such as MongoDB, and XSLT is preferred.
Secondary Skills Required:
Ability to perform in a team environment, multi-task, and be a self-starter. Prospective candidates must be able to coordinate and matrix tasks from many different sources. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong grasp of the Intelligence Community as well as the IC-SOG mission and responsibilities is a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
