Sales Associate (MD/VA/DC)

The sales associate is responsible for identifying viable sales opportunities within the long term care business. The sales associate primarily engages in lead generation activities and is responsible for developing a deep pipeline of business leads. The sales associate regularly partners with Sales Account Executives to ensure a seamless handoff between lead generation and account executive engagement.
Delivers on sales goals and individual targets by proactively identifying and establishing contact with new business opportunities. Meets or exceeds all activity and outcome targets.
Delivers a high quality sales experience. Follows all sales processes and protocols.
Builds relationships with key decision makers using phone, web contact methods and cold client visits.
Establishes appointments for sales account executives. Provides support to ensure a seamless handoff between lead generation and onsite appointment.
Follow-up on leads generated through web inquiry, tradeshow or other referral means.
Prepares and delivers web presentations focused on business value, industry leadership, and client service.
May assist with Request for Information or Request for Proposal processes.
Maintains account and prospect reporting and tracking. Utilizes customer relationship management tools.
Upholds organizational standards for quality service delivery. Responsible for first impressions of Omnicare.
May participate in Trade Shows, Conventions, and other industry programs. Actively sources leads through these opportunities. Documents and manages all follow-up activities.
Minimum (Required): _(must be met in order to perform the job at the required level)_
Bachelor's Degree preferred; in Business, Sales/Marketing or related field
Experience with complex solution-selling sales cycles over the phone and using the web
Effective listening, communication, and phone skills.
Knowledge of long term care industry preferred.
High energy and a desire to learn and grow.
Ability to overcome objections and the ability to engage the correct level of decision maker.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Effective time management skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities or business needs.
Ability to conduct presentations using the web.
Physical Demands: May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
