Lab Windows System Administrator 3 with Security Clearance
The selected candidate will provide Windows Server and workstation system administration support to a vital enterprise Human Resource Applications and Services organizationThe individual will support two testing labs:
1) A Language Aptitude Testing Lab that provides a mechanism for individuals to take both the Language Proficiency and Language Aptitude Battery tests, and 2) A Psychological Assessment Lab that provides a mechanism for prospective personnel to take psychological testing that is a requirement for hiringThe candidate must be an experienced Windows system administrator that is comfortable working on a team performing a wide range of system administration activities including management, maintenance, and security of network infrastructure and servers for Windows 10/11 machinesSet up, install the operating system, configure, and maintain Windows servers to ensure they are operating efficiently and securely; to include Active Directory management, network security, networking monitoring and troubleshootingDiagnose and resolve server-related issues, such as outages and application errorsInstall, configure, and maintain software applications that run on the serversEnsuring compatibility, updates, and proper functionalityImplement security measures such as firewalls, regular security patches, and updates to safeguard the serversThe main location where the work will be performed is at the Government Site in LaurelHowever, there will be occasional travel to the lab within a 10-mile radius about 2-3 times a weeko
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and fifteen (15) years of system administration experienceTwenty (20) years of SA experience may be substituted in lieu of a degreeExperience as a Windows System Administrator Knowledge of Windows Server Upgrade Service (WSUS) Experience with networking switch programming Willingness to learn and develop strong understanding of the products and technologies Experience developing and updating technical documentation Must be able to work during core hours of 10:
