com Systems Administrator 2 Candidate must have an active TS/SCI w/Poly DCCA is searching for a highly skilled Systems Administrator (SA2) to be a part of our team located in Annapolis Junction.
The team is in need of a hybrid Tier 3 Front Line Engineer and a System Integrator/Tester.
The candidate will be a self-starter able to install and configure the system, resolve customer issues, perform manual regression testing, and nearest neighbor testing.
The position requires OCONUS travel for installations and site personnel training.
Key Words Linux, Customer Support, Front Line Engineer, Integration and Testing, Continuous Integration, automation, scripting REQUIRED SKILLS / EDUCATION:
o Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required o Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree o Candidate must have 5
years minimum providing help desk / customer support, preferable Tier 3 Support.
o Candidate must have 5
years minimum of demonstrated integration and testing experience.
o Ability to conduct formal and ad hoc system training for basic operators.
o Ability to configure Linux servers from scratch, including disk layout and partitioning, operating system installation, RedHat/CentOS kickstart and package configuration.
o Demonstrated ability in configuring / customizing a system after installation for mission/site needs.
o Demonstrated ability in network troubleshooting.
o Demonstrated ability in preparing and editing technical documentation.
o OCONUS travel (1-4 times a year for 10 days each) for installation/training.
o Good verbal and written communication skills.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
o Willingness to learn and take direction.
DESIRED SKILLS:
Demonstrated ability to automate day to day operations through the use of bash, python, ansible, or puppet.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot existing scripts.
Familiar with software development environments, specifically Java or C/C++.
Potential candidate may be asked to assist developers in reviewing code for troubleshooting purposes Demonstrated ability to automate system acceptance tests using Linux shell scripting.
Experience with any of the following; Red Hat, Rocky, VMWare, Maven, Jenkins, Serenity, Git, Ansible, Puppet, Confluence, Jira.
Must be able to interact effectively with customers, developers and end users and work in and agile based project CERTIFICATIONS Any of the following Certifications are preferred, but not required; RHCSA/RHCE, Security
