Our client has a contract opening for a Beginner-Level Scrum Master to support a U.
S.
Homeland Security program.
This multi-year Federal project is in Annapolis Junction, MD, is mostly remote, but some onsite presence is needed.

As a Junior Scrum Master, you will work with multiple scrum masters and the Release Train Engineer to learn the foundations of Agile delivery, team ceremony facilitation, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement.

Citizens eligible for a Secret Clearance.
(Preference is given to those with an existing clearance.
) Responsibilities :
Provide backup to other program members, facilitating team ceremonies such as the daily stand-up, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Retrospectives, and PI Planning Team Breakout Support creation and maintenance of user stories in the Agile Lifecycle Management tool Learn development/test delivery process and identify challenges with efficiency, communication, and planning Collaborate with other scrum masters on cross-team dependencies.
Provide backup to represent teams in the Scrum of Scrums.
Assist team in preparation for Agile Release Train (ART) events, including Program Increment (PI) Planning and System Demos.
Communicate with management and ART stakeholders.
Provide status of sprint progress and request awareness and/or support if sprint scope or dependencies are at risk.
Support Scrum Teams by embracing SAFe Core Values and applying SAFe Principles Qualifications :
Bachelors Degree 1
years of experience in team or customer service environment Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Per our Federal Government contract, candidates must be U.

Qualifications:
Agile certifications or coursework 1 year of experience in an IT environment Microsoft Excel competency Active Secret Clearance :
