Speech and Language Pathologist School-based LEAP (Autism) Program $2500 Sign-On

Join our team of skilled, supportive SLPs! This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a strong interdisciplinary school team with excellent supervision and work/life balance.
This position allows for the joys of school-based work, including the development of strong relationships with students and colleagues.
We are seeking a Maryland licensed, certified speech-language pathologist to provide direct and consultative services to students in our non-public school programs.
SLPs at LEAP work with and support students with autism ages 7-21 as they access their life skills educational program and work to earn certificates of completion.
Services are delivered in a variety of formats including individual, push-in, and classroom-based sessions.
Technology is incorporated throughout the day.
The ideal SLP candidate is collaborative, organized, curious and hardworking.
We are seeking SLPs who approach their work in an evidence-based, student-centered manner.
While prior clinical experience, experience with a variety of technology, and knowledge about developmental disabilities and the IEP process are preferred, candidates who are eager to learn will be considered.

Must possess and maintain full licensure from the Maryland Board of Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers & Speech-Language Pathologists.
Must possess and maintain Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology granted by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
Must possess and maintain CPR certification within three months of training/date of hire.
Trach/vent trained within three months of training/date of hire.
Individual must demonstrate competence across all age groups due to the diversity of the children and families served by the Institute Clinical care focus is on the neonate, pediatric, and adolescent populations, as well as some adults with disabilities.
EDUCATION:
Successful completion of a Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology, with related clinical requirements.
Experience:
Completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year in speech -language pathology with experience in pediatric communication and feeding/swallowing and oral motor disorders.
Additional course work or training in pediatric feeding/swallowing or communication disorders beneficial.

Salary:
Flexibleper hour.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
