Job summaryAmazon Web Services, the fastest growing group in Amazon, is seeking to expand our Network Build team.
The team builds the network for new dedicated clouds for customers with specialized needs.
In order to meet the growing demand for these specialized data centers we are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager who wants to be challenged by building networks at Amazon scale!The Senior Technical Program Manager will be responsible for prioritization, scheduling, and execution of network data center builds and expansions across our US customer base.
You will manage our cross-functional projects which require working with all organizational levels and groups including network operations and engineering, tooling and service teams, as well as infrastructure teams and external vendors.
You will develop and manage project schedules, identify risks and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders, define problem solving and risk mitigation strategies, and facilitate conflict resolution through the full project cycle.
A strong background in IT infrastructure, technology deployment, and network fundamentals is essential for your success in this position.
You must have a proven track record of project completion that is on time and within budget.
You must be able to command the intellectual respect of engineers as well as run extremely effective projects on compressed timelines while dealing with ambiguity with grace and maturity.
Responsibilities:
Manage multiple competing cross-functional projects/programs simultaneously Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers and senior management on a daily basis Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles Work with engineers to develop detail and creative solutions to complex problems, while keeping a watchful eye on timelines and costs Ensure consistency in deployed configurations and track exceptions for follow upThis position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess an active Secret security clearance.
The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and satisfy other security related requirements.

Relocation assistance would be offered (pending qualification guidelines).
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $116,400 - $160,000, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
